Your profile and security

Your name, email, password and sign-in security live in your AdPix Account, not in the analytics console. The console only decides what that identity is allowed to see.

Identity in one place, access in another#

AdPix keeps these deliberately apart:

  • Your AdPix Account says who you are — name, email address, password and sign-in security. One account for every AdPix product.
  • Each product says what that identity may see — roles and memberships on an organization, an account and a property.

The practical consequence: changing your password has nothing to do with your access, and being granted a new role changes nothing about your account.

The account menu#

The small circle carrying your initial sits at the top of every console page. Open it and you get:

Item What it does
Account profile Opens your AdPix Account in a new tab — name and basic details
Password & security Opens the security section of the same account
English / فارسی Switches the console language in place
Admin Goes to the Admin screen
Sign out Signs you out of the console and of your AdPix Account

The address you signed in with is shown at the top of the menu. If you are a platform super admin, a Super admin marker appears under it and a Platform console entry is added to the menu.

The first two links leave the console

Account profile and Password & security take you to the AdPix Account center, not to a page inside the analytics console. They open in a new tab so the report you were reading survives. On a deployment configured for local, break-glass sign-in these two entries are not shown at all.

Console language#

The English and فارسی buttons in the same menu switch the language without reloading the page, and you stay exactly where you were. The choice is also sent to your AdPix Account in the background, so your next sign-in — and the other AdPix products — follow it.

Persian is more than translated strings: the layout mirrors to right-to-left, dates become Jalali, numbers become Persian digits, and the chart value axis moves to the other side.

How long your session lives#

A console session is valid for 12 hours. But session length is not the only thing that ends it.

The console runs a background watch that asks your AdPix Account whether the central session is still alive — every time you come back to the tab, and every 60 seconds otherwise. If it is gone, because you signed out at the account or in another AdPix product, the console closes its own session and takes you to the sign-in page. Any other tabs you have open follow at the same moment.

Signing out#

Sign out in the account menu does two things in order: it ends the analytics console session, then it ends the central AdPix Account session. One press therefore signs you out of every AdPix product, not only this console. The full picture, including the other ways a session ends, is in signing out everywhere.

If you see a message at sign-in#

The sign-in page is specific about what went wrong. You may see:

Message What to do
Your account does not have access to Analytics yet Ask your organization's administrator to grant you a role. Until you hold one, your sign-in has nowhere to land.
A verification link has been sent to your email Your address is not verified yet. Open the email, follow the link, then continue from that same page.
That sign-in link had expired Just continue again; nothing is broken.
This email is already linked to a different account Contact support. It means that address points at a different identity in AdPix.
This account has been disabled by the platform administrator Contact the platform administrator. Disabling is immediate and also ends every open session.

What is not yours to change#

Three things are deliberately out of your hands:

  • Your own role. Nobody raises their own role; that is always done by someone above you on the same scope.
  • Raw event data and user identifiers. Both are denied by default on every membership, and lifting them is a platform administrator's decision. The one exception is property admin and above, who see their own business's user identifiers.
  • Disabling an account. Closing someone's account happens at the platform level and immediately invalidates all of their open sessions.
If support views your account

A platform administrator can view the console as your account for support. While that is happening a banner sits at the top of the page naming who is being viewed as, whether the session is read-only or read-write, and how long is left. Any change made in that state is recorded in the audit log under both identities — the person actually signed in, and the account being viewed.

Frequently asked questions#

Where do I change my password?

In your AdPix Account, not in the analytics console. Open the account menu — the circle with your initial at the top of the page — and choose Password & security; it opens in a new tab. The analytics console never stores a password of yours.

Why don't I see Account profile in the account menu?

Those two links appear only when your organization signs in through an AdPix Account. On a local (operator) sign-in there is no account at the AdPix Account center to link to.

I signed out of my AdPix Account — why is the console still open?

Give it a moment. The console checks the central session whenever you return to the tab and every 60 seconds otherwise, and sends you to the sign-in page as soon as it sees that the central session is gone. Any other open tabs follow immediately.

What happens if my email address changes?

Your access in AdPix is bound to your email address — every role you hold was granted to that address. Before you change the address on your account, agree it with your organization's administrator so the roles can be granted again on the new one.
